This Privacy Policy describes how Vastu360 ("we", "us", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android mobile application.

By using Vastu360, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Vastu360 is an offline-first application. The vast majority of your data — including your Vastu reports, floor plans, bookmarks, chat history, and preferences — is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers. We have no servers that store your personal data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Your name, email address, or phone number
Your physical address or home location
Floor plan images you upload (stored locally only)
The contents of your Vastu reports
Your chat conversations with Vastu Mitra
Your contacts, photos (outside what you explicitly choose), or files

3. Information We DO Collect

3.1 Anonymous Analytics (via Firebase Analytics)

We collect anonymous usage information to improve the app:

App version, device type, Android version
Screen views and feature usage (e.g., "Compass opened", "Report generated")
Approximate region (country-level)
Language preference
App crashes (via Firebase Crashlytics)

This information cannot be used to personally identify you.

3.2 Sensor Data (Used Locally Only)

The app accesses your device's magnetometer and accelerometer to power the compass feature. This data is processed in real-time on your device and is never stored or transmitted.

3.3 Camera and Storage (Only When You Choose)

If you upload a floor plan image, the app reads it from your device storage. The image stays on your device. We never send it anywhere.

3.4 Purchase Information (Handled by Google Play)

Subscription and one-time payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive only a token confirming your purchase status. We do not see your card details, billing address, or any payment information. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for their data handling.

3.5 Advertising (Free Users Only — via Google AdMob)

For users on the free tier, we display banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Advertising ID (resettable by you in device settings)
Approximate location
Device information

You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's "Ads" settings. Premium users do not see ads, and no ad-related data is collected for them.

4. How We Use Information

We use the anonymous analytics data to:

Understand which features are popular
Identify and fix bugs
Improve app performance
Plan future features
Monitor and improve content quality

6. Permissions We Request

Sensors (Magnetometer, Accelerometer): For the Vastu compass. Required.
Camera: Optional, only when you choose to capture a floor plan.
Storage: Optional, to save and access PDF reports.
Internet: For analytics, ads (free users), Remote Config, and Play Billing only. Core features work offline.

7. Children's Privacy

Vastu360's target audience is users aged 18 and over. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us and we will delete any associated data immediately.

8. Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends largely on your device's security (lock screen, encryption, etc.). Anonymous analytics data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

9. Data Retention

On-device data: Stays until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
Firebase Analytics: Retained per Firebase defaults (typically 14 months).
Crashlytics: Retained for 90 days.

10. Your Rights

Uninstall the app at any time to remove all on-device data.
Reset your Advertising ID via device settings.
Opt out of personalized ads via device settings.
Request deletion of any analytics data (see Contact section).

11. International Users

Vastu360 is available globally. Anonymous analytics data may be processed by Google servers in different regions (including the United States). By using the app, you consent to such transfer.

For users in the European Union: Under GDPR, you may request access to or deletion of your data. For users in California: Under CCPA, you may exercise similar rights.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date will appear at the top. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance.
